650ml bottle, undated but known to be fresh, purchased at the Warren Store in VT, poured into a Lawson's Finest Liquids willibecher. Enjoyed on 3.24.17, reviewed from Tasting Journal.

The beer pours a lightly cloudy pale golden color, orange hues with two fingers of foamy white head, great retention and lace. The aroma is pleasant, overripe tropical fruits, lots of passionfruit with some citrus juice, wildflower, light pine with some grassy green hop and a pinch of soft dough. The flavors are nice, juicy hops, lots of tropical fruit, overripe like the nose, pretty green and grassy hops take over, light pine, a bit of vegetal flavors with soft pale grain lingering. The mouthfeel is okay, medium body that coats moderately well, decent carbonation with a bit of a lackluster texture and a dry finish.

Verdict: A good IPA from Lawson's. Nice flavors, well balanced, not overly pungent or intense, very approachable. The body leaves a bit to be desired but all in all, this is a worthy beer.

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a hazy yellow color with a finger and a half worth of white foamy head dissipating at a nice pace. Sticky filmy lace. The aroma seems to have a big burst of sweet danky onion over top of papaya, then lemon/lime pulp. Ends with just a tickle of some red delicious apple. The flavor blends wonderfully a pure bittersweet blend of the onion to the papaya/lemon/lime sweetness. Sticky sweet onion/papaya aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. Acceptable stickiness. ABV felt just where it’s supposed to be as projected by the brewer. Overall, an absolutely wonderful AIPA that is by far a top notch one in my book.

Pours golden and a bit hazy with an appropriate head. Head retention is nice. Smell is decent. Taste is reminiscent of what an IPA should be - good balance of sweetness and slight bitterness. Mouthfeel is extraordinary. This is what I would indeed expect from Lawsons.

pours out a brilliant golden color with some haze, bright white head leaves bits of lace. aroma is a bit muted, getting some dank and musty earth notes, bit of floral spice and herbs... very subtle hint of some orange and grapefruit. on palate is slightly tarte apple, crackery malts, lemon, grapefruit, mint, herbal grassy note, bit of honey sweetness, finishes with a nice bite of pine. mouthfeel is right where it should be. overall equinox is not one of my favorite hops, but this is enjoyable none the less!
