We teamed up with our friends at Whetstone Station Brewery to brew this farmhouse style ale with Pilsner, Vienna, and toasted Rye malts to celebrate the 1st annual Green Mountain Beer Week!
We added dose of black peppercorns and fermented it with a French Saison yeast for a dry finish. This beer is what every beer longs to be....desired. We hope you enjoy

Pours cloudy goldish with a couple fingers of lathery white foam. It retreats quickly to a bare cap. Not a great look, even for a saison.
Med./full aroma, the expected pepper, mixed with doughy sweet, rounded tart, sharp citrus, and even some mint and earthy funk notes.
All the flavors of the aroma are here, but kinda muted and not in great balance with one another. Best thing about it is the end of sip becomes dominated by some nice drying and earthy pepper.
Kinda thick for style, not as refreshing as a saison needs to be, nicely low carb, and a finish that is less than optimal.
Considering the admiration I feel for most of his beers, this is a miss for Mr. Lawson. Not bad, not recommended.

pours out a slightly hazy golden orange/straw color. soapy bright white head recedes quickly. aromas of bready malts, bubblegum, hint of citrus, doughy malts.... hints of funkyness, also seems like a sweet bananna type thing. smells freaking awesome. taste is sweeter than expected, sweet and bready malts that become a bit cloying. touch of peppery and grassy hops on the finish. mouthfeel is solid but wasnt a huge fan of the flavor profile.
