A special edition featuring Passion Fruit puree! With a depth and form unclear, this hazy ale resides in the space in between styles. Brewed with oats and wheat, a hint of tartness, and dry-hopped with Galaxy& Nelson Sauvin.

Hazy dark yellow with minimal white head quickly settling to an unevenly bubbly collar.

The fruit adds a little tartness and seediness, but otherwise this combines with the base to translate overall as very juicy grapefruit.

The medium body has a firm fizz that comes to a lightly chewy finish.

Had a single draft at Lawson's Liquids in Waitsfield, Vermont for about seven dollars. My nineteenth brew from these guys. This is a miss for me, weird flavor to pair with beer.

Canned 6/16/20

It seems like Lawson's is popping up more frequently in my area lately and I'm all for it. I'm not huge on passionfruit but I'm sure this will be good

Pours a hazy light gold with a finger of soapy white head that quickly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing

The aroma here is very interesting, loads of citrus, mostly orange and tangerine to back up the tart passionfruit, grassy hops, a touch of wheat, and crackery malt

This is like a lightly sour IPA, I guess that's why they refer to it as an "undefined ale". The taste starts off a bit bland with just some light lemon paired with soft malt. The swallow brings a rush of passionfruit, tart and juicy, along with slightly dank grassy hops, grapefruit, and smooth wheat

A light airy body combines with gentle tingling carbonation for a very refreshing beer. Finishes tart and mostly dry

This was really good overall. I wasn't expecting anything mindblowing (and it's not) but it is definitely delicious and unique

On tap at The Agave Grill in Hartford, CT.

This one pours a moderately hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like bright and vibrant passionfruit puree, lemon, tangerine, white grape, and other general citrus.

This works better than I thought it would've. The passionfruit is definitely a good complement to similar flavors that would come out of Galaxy hops, making it quite nearly a passionfruit bomb. There's some dry citrus, grassy bitterness, wheat, and melony hops.

This is medium bodied, crisp, and pretty clean, with a good drinkability.

I expected this would be fine, but I didn't expect to really, really like it.

From a 16oz can dated 6/16/20 into a pint glass.

Pours a hazy, nearly opaque pale brownish yellow with about one finger of white head. Below average retention and just a tiny bit of lacing.

Smells of bit of sweet fruit with some melon and maybe a bit of pineapple. Smell was weaker than I was anticipating.

Tastes of a mixture of lemon and orange juice. Pretty tangy and fairly tart. A slight amount of hop bitterness.

Tangy aftertaste. Seems over-carbonated. Thinner mouthfeel.

Overall, I'm not sure what the intent was here, but it was a miss for me.

From the can it pours a slightly hazy golden color. A large frothy head retains well.

The passion fruit purée adds fruitiness and sweetness to the aroma. However, there is also notes of tart fruit as well as aromas of dewy grass and cracker malt.

Fruity and lightly tart with flavors of passion fruit, lemon and lime zest. Well hopped with a mild earthy bitterness, grassy and peppery spices. Notes of crisp and dry cracker malts provide a solid backbone. Light bodied, semi crisp and moderately carbonated. The finish is dry and tart.

As advertised, it’s hard to categorize style wise. It tastes kind of like a hoppy sour. I enjoyed it, as it was refreshing.
