Reviewed from very long-standing notes. Poured from a 12 oz. can into a Fat Head's pint glass.
A: Dark gold with significant haziness. Forms a two-finger off-white head that lasts quite awhile and moderate visible carbonation.
S: Floral, citrus, tropical and melon hops with caramelly bready malts. There's another hop aroma here as well, but I can't quite place it - seems a bit fruity.
T: Citrus (orange rind, orange marmalade) and biscuity malts with a fair amount of caramel sweetness. Some floral and vegetal hops, with lesser notes of tropical fruits and melon. Floral hops and citrus rind come on at the end, along with moderate bitterness which lasts into the hang with a touch of alcohol heat.
M: Medium body, good carbonation sensation. The alcohol presence is noticeable but not overly hot.
O: Just not the malt bill that I generally look for in my DIPAs. The hop profile is interesting and a bit different than other DIPAs around. Either way - I'll likely never have this again, but honestly won't miss it.
