Reviewed from long-standing notes. Poured from a 32 oz. crowler into a Cigar City snifter.
A: Mildly hazy bright gold, with average visible carbonation leading to two fingers of white head that lasted pretty well.
S: Citrus and grassy hops, lemons and cracker malt. A bit yeasty and a touch of farmhouse musk.
T: Resinous hops that I didn't get in the nose, and more citrus rind. Lemon and a restrained black pepper from the yeast. Some farmhouse mustiness still, but tastes less yeasty than the nose suggests. Cracker malt sweetness balances things out somewhat. Resin, lemon and black pepper at the swallow, before a lingering hop bitterness.
A: Light body, good carbonation sensation, and low alcohol presence.
O: I rather liked this one. Maybe leans towards the hoppy side rather than the saison character. But I thought pretty enjoyable either way.

Clear gold with a moderate white head.
Grassy hay with some of the typical saison attributes a bit more faintly in the background.
I think the hoppiness with the yeast creates an odd dill pickle effect. I've had this same experience with the Hull Melon variant of 471 by Breck. Not the most pleasant combination, but at least it's done a bit better here.
