500 ml. poured into a snifter glass. After warming the beer still pours nearly dead flat. Faint hint of mocha foam is history in an instant. Nose of ethanol is prominent, with some nutty components at times. Carbonation would be nice.
Opens up in flavor department a bit. Hints of bourbon, deep chocolate, touch of spice. Boozy in a good way.
Feel is sweet, borderline cloying yet saved by some spice/texture. Overall a bit of an unknown. Not sure why they don't like to carbonate barrel aged beers. Lots of aromatics lost on this one.
