Mirabelles are golden plum found in the French/Belgian country-side. They are typically tart. Making a beer from them is something that I've never experienced.
Pours a pale golden color...quite similar to the color of the fruit itself.
The smell is mildy sweet. The taste is very similar to a fruit punch; it lacks the sourness that the plum traditionally offers. Still it is an unusual offering--think Tahitian Treat. Perhaps it's too sweet, but might make due as a dessert beer.
