crazy new one from trinity, they never quit do they? this one apparently features cranberries and white cinnamon, among other funky ingredients, and is definitely pretty weird on a yeast front. looks innocent enough though, hazy pale yellow in color, bright and light in the glass with a tall white head that lasts well and leaves fine lacing along the edges of the globe they pour it in at the taproom. nose of brett and tart saison yeast, and the cinnamon is soft but obvious, not spicy but certainly spiced, if the distinction makes sense. maybe ginger or something in here too, and the cranberries and pucker without a real heavy fruit presence, a cool contribution and definitely unconventional. long flavor and a lot of body. unique beer to say the least, always using fun and new exciting ingredients, and this integrates them as well as any trinity beer. feels heavy to me, and sits a little weird in the belly, but maybe that was my lunch not the beer. it tastes great, and has enough bubbles to keep it moving. well done, i hope they bottle this.

Solid friggen farmhouse. Hops, apple blossoms, and summer breeze float across the nose. The esters add something like a cinnamon apple crisp taste, with a gentle vinegar behind it all. The feel is fairly effervescent at first and peters out into a light, buttered flower kind of tastefeel. My bias is generally away from hops and this beer compliments my palate verrrry well. It's Feb 2 and I can't wait to drink this beer on a hot summer day.
