supposedly a jackfruit based saison, and written up as having a lot of fruit in it, but i was disappointed by its seemingly minimal influence in this saison. when i hear about an interesting ingredient like that in a beer, especially from these guys, i buy it. really let down by its lack of flavor in this, and i am left missing it. that said, the base saison is very good, as they all are from trinity. extremely light with a mild pucker. cleaner wheat than i am used to from them, but probably some belgian pils or something else light too. carbonation pops off, and its nice and dry. that the base beer is this good makes it that much more disappointing that there is no jackfruit in it. its a missing element for sure. love the yeast too, more belgian than funky for once from trinity, but it works with the really light grain base. if they brew this one again, i would advocate for more of the fruit, i can imagine what it would be like, and its delicious. as it is now, i would do something else from trinity instead, its good but just not all that interesting.
