Draft at the brewpub.
Pours a slightly hazy, pale golden straw color with a half finger off white head that quickly fades leaving no lacing.
Very funky, as in odd, aroma with earhy, funky saison qualities. Hints of bready yeast, straw, light fruit and alcohol. There's also a peppery Mexican spice character. Very odd with lots of peppers, cumin and cilantro I guess. Hints of citrus fruit underneath.
Medium bodied and not as spicy as thearoma suggests. Lots of earthy saison character as well as plenty of citrus. The earthy, odd spice comes in toward the finish but not too hot. Kind of vegetal tasting and just plain weird.

Stopped in at the Trinity Brewing Company today on the way back from Garden of the Gods with 4 kids. At this point any beer would have been a godsend, but this one was really pretty gold. Light golden color, slightly hazy, with a big rocky white head. Aromas of wheat and lemon. On the palate, I get yeast, wheat, lemon and lots of spicy chilis. A nice saison, and the chili kick is quite welcome.
