Draft at the brewpub. A saison brewed with artichoke hearts.
Pours a clear, dark golden orange color with golden tangerine hues and a two finger frothy head. Good retention slowly fading into a lasting ring that leaves chunks of soapy lacing behind.
Sligtly spicy, peppery aroma with faint earthy funk and light fruit notes. Hints of tangerine, caramel malt, pepper, licorice and slight smoke.
Full bodied with a nice zesty spice character followed by a slightly toasty sweet malt presence as well as well as some citrus and bready yeast. Hints of tangerine, lemon and orange peel. Lingering vegetal presence from artichoke hearts is subtle.
