Thanks for opening this with me, FantomeOpera!
A highly carbonated golden and very light copper in color. Large, quickly forming, quite persistent, near-white head. Leaves moderate amount of sticky, messy lines down the glass. Pretty American saison.
Pleasant aroma with good amounts of biscuit and cracker, mild farmhouse, and earth as well. The flavors are very clean and straightforward. This doesn't require a lot of digging or remain particularly interesting, but it fits the bill of a great saison aroma for sipping in the summertime.
Flavor is very similar to the aroma; good amounts of cracker, bread, cereal malts combining nicely with some earth and mild barnyard elements. Mild citrus character as well. Disappearing flavors. Paired great with savory food.
Medium in body with high carbonation. Crisp. Refreshing. Very appropriate for the style and the time of year.
Wonderful, though simple, summer saison. Would happily drink again.
