Poured on-tap at the Tap House and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a golden caramel coloring with a sparse, filmy, white head. Nose of not much, with some subtle peppery notes on a toasted grain backbone. Pretty nondescript thus far. Flavors are lightly toasted forward, with a quickly building pepper spice and heat. The pepper outweighs all, and by a landslide. This thing is all heat. Thin, smooth bodied, with a peppery aftertaste. Warm, clean finish with a solid after burn. Missed the boat on the style, but the habanero is more than spotlighted in this one.
