On tap at Max's today.
The beer pours a slightly reddish, copper amber color with very light head retention and minimal lacing. Don't get a lot on the nose... just some light clove, honey and considerable spice. The flavor profile repilcates the nose, except there's a bit more too it. The beer is lightly sweet, and the considerable spice counters that sweetness pretty well. Mouthfeel is fairly light, especially considering the 7% abv. There's also a hint of hoppy bitterness as well, that is nice touch.
I don't know. Nothing wrong with this beer, and I enjoyed it. However, I just wish there was more of everything in this beer, and so can't really see myself ordering this again. Not sure this is a beer style that the obvioulsly talented brewer at Evolution needs to puruse.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
