Taster at brewery. Clear golden pour, flat. Sweet, grainy aroma. Taste is sweet, bready, light corn notes. Smooth with a mildly dry finish . (4/21/24)

mexican lager, no fruit, pretty basic, but light and clean and refreshing after a long hot day on the lake. i thought this was real well done, definitely kind of hits like a pils to me, with a little more of that dry crackery even dusty european type grain character than a lot of these have, and without any corn evident anywhere to me, at least no obviously. its crisp and the ferment is clean, if its a mexican lager yeast strain its subtle and understated, less fruity than in many. the beer is yellow and clear for the most part, fizzy, and holding just a short half inch or less of white head. the nose is slightly floral from the hops on the back end, but this is primarily grain driven, and the flavor agrees, again a little more pils elements to this than a lot of mexican lager types, but it works. very drinkable with such a light body and the finishing dryness, subtle lime from what might be saaz hops in here, a faint white wine note, and this could definitely take a lime wedge, even though it doesnt need one to be refreshing. sometimes less can be more, and that is especially true with hot weather beer drinking, this hit the mark for me after the boat rental, versatile food beer too, i needed this one!
