Poured from a can into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a lightly purplish tinted golden copper color with a small head of white foam. The head fades very fast, leaving a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is very heavy of a blueberry pie smell mixed with notes of caramel and grain.
Taste – The taste begins with a very sweet blueberry pie and blueberry soda like flavor mixed with a touch of bread and notes of pie crust. Along with these flavors comes a little bit of must and notes of raw sugar. As the taste advances a touch of sourness joins in, and with a bit of grain, one is left with a very sweet blueberry taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is a little bit syrupy with a moderate carbonation level.
Overall – It has a nice blueberry flavor, but just a touch too sweet for me. A nice summer dessert beer if you are fancying something fruity and sweet.
