Pours a slight amber tinged gold with a bursting, fluffy white head that tries to leap out of the glass. Cloud-like in fluff, then retreats to a consistent half-finger. Clotting more than lacing on the glass. Aroma is floral citrus and honey, maybe a hint of peach. Such a great nose. Taste is definitely weaker than the nasal propaganda. A generic hop bitterness leads followed by some grainy bread dough sweetness, finally a hint of resin. Finish is somewhat dry. Mouthfeel is slick and mild in carbonation. Overall, if this beer could follow the nose a bit more I'd be a regular buyer.

Pours a hazy honey gold with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, black tea, and floral aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grapefruit juice, floral, and metallic flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that smells nice, but the metallic flavor I am getting diminishes the drinkability for me.

Type: 12-oz. bottle
Glass: Figueroa Mountain pint glass
From: Trader Joe’s in La Mesa (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $1.25
Purchased: May 29, 2015
Consumed: May 30, 2015
Misc.: Couldn’t find a ABV on bottle; Also no born on date/best by
Poured a golden, caramel, clear color with two fingers of rocky, white head. Only a few bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Uneven, circular, spotty lacing on the sides. Average retention. (Sight - 3.75)
On the nose got floral, Cascade, lemon zest, iced tea, grass, light orange blossom, caramel, passing fruit late, tropical, mango and orange rind. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted nowhere near as good as the nose. Tasted boozy, more like 6.5 pct. ABV, not like a SIPA. Also Cascade, orange blossom, apricot, peach, light mango, tropical, floral and bitter orange rind. (Taste - 3.25)
Light body. Oily texture. Above-average retention. Astringent, abrupt finish. (Feel - 3.25)
Not a good session IPA in my opinion. Cheap though. (Overall - 3.50)

A tasty session IPA in an overcrowded field. It's not too hoppy and goes down smooth. I like the new label and six pack design.
