Nitro. Pours a cloudy yellow color. Aroma is very muted. No tangible passion fruit that I detect. Mildly hoppy but somewhat generically fruity. Flavor was a bust. Fruity beginning then some some sort of maltiness that was like white bred croutons. Finally it finished with a really odd phenolic, Belgian yeastiness. Very mild passion fruit, would not have picked it up if it wasn't in the name. Another beer by White Birch that I have been very disappointed in.

Had this on Nitro today and was not a fan. Didnt like what the NITRO did to it. I enjoy being able to feel the hops in an IPA and the nitro just gave it too much of a smooth and creamy mouthfeel. I could almost taste it as well.

From the 650 ml. bottled that was bottled July 2015. Sampled on September 5, 2015.
The pour is a slightly milky pale yellow-orange tone with almost no head to speak of. And any head quickly dissipates.
The aroma does have a passion fruit sensation to it along with a muted toasted bread character.
Lighter body.
The taste is tart like a sour/wild ale with passion fruit stepping out and a funky bitterness at the finish. Also a sort of peppery finish.

A: cloudy; pale gold in color; 1 finger moussy white head that receded slowly to a thin cap; nice lacing;
S: passion fruit, mint, leather;
T: leather and passion fruit from start to finish; tartness comes in quickly and stays through the end; finish is mildly bitter;
M: light to medium bodied; light, creamy carbonation; lightly dry finish;
O: I tasted this when the keg was first tapped and there was a great deal of passion fruit in the aroma and flavor; I didn't get a chance to review it until day 3 - almost all the passion fruit character was gone; in any event, I would never have guessed that this was any IPA - virtually no hop presence;

Bottle from the brewery.
Hazy lemony golden color with a small head that dissipates almost instantly. Big tart citrus with hints of rind dominate the aroma and flavor. Light earthy yeasty esters with hints of pepper. The flavor has hints of sweet bready malt and finishes with a touch of hop bitterness. Not a whole lot of IPA going on here, in fact I find little to no hop presence in my glass.
