From tasting notes. L: Hazy amber, 2” foam cap, dissipates to ½” slowly, very fine bead S: Grain, bread, the orange and ginger are very faint T: Belgian yeast flavors, orange and ginger, a little peach to apricot, a touch of heat from the ginger, medium sweet, some hop bitterness on the finish, kind of a spicy, earthy bitterness. F: This is very creamy with a medium body and above average carbonation with some warming. O: The ginger and the orange peel and the malt all play together very well.

From the 22 fl. oz. bottle dated May 2013. Sampled on July 20, 2013.

The pour is decent with a medium amber color leading up to a white foam head.

Loads of aroma on the nose including hebs and spices galore particularly ginger and a dash of orange. Very aromatic!

The body is medium.

The taste has this penetrating ginger, licorice and herbal quality to it. There is a lingering moderate bitterness at the end. Also a bit of pepper.

I usualy am not a fan of the Saison but this one stopeed me where I stood. Great color very easy on the nose great blend of aromas perfecctly blending so one is not struggling to distinguish what lingers behind the first whiff.

The head, yet small which is characteristic of a Saisonm, is clean and leaves a body of scent in your glasss that acompanies your nasal senses with your first taste.

The taste glides on your tongue smoothly, no acidic burning on your tongue or inner cheeks. Easily goes down and leaves a first taste of the orange peel and effortlessly the ginger shines through. The ginger is mellow and departs quite nicely on the taset buds.

I bought a case and shared with my friends who are now in search for Freedom from Want I went to two sellers to purchase more and they had it but sold out so and are reordering buy a few they are resonably priced drink one and age the others.

Bottle from the source.
Pours a lightly hazy medium golden color with a smallish but long lasting white head that is constantly fed with a steady stream of carb bubbles. Ginger, yup, I found that in the nose. Light lemon and oranges with a lightly sweet candied malt aroma and hint of bready yeasty phenols. Little to no hop aroma. The flavor is ginger up front with a bit of an herbal earthy edge to it. The sweet sugary malt and the orange marmalade flavors can barely overcome the ginger onslaught on my palette. Finish is fairly dry with a yeasty earthy linger. Little to no hop flavor or bitterness. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a semi sweet herbal mouthfeel. If you like ginger this is the beer for you. My meager palette on the other hand can only handle ginger in small quantities and this one exceeded that threshold.
