Canned 3/1/21. Purchased off a room temp shelf as a single on about 5/15/21, so it isn't as fresh as I would like, Good looking beer, except for the numerous suspended solids which I don't care for. Moderate haze, tall white head that has decent persistence and produced a moderate amount of lace. As soon as I poured it I could tell is was NOT one of the citra-dominated hop profiles I somehow tend to have most often. The mosaic comes through quite nicely. Overall a very pleasant beer and a good example of the mosaic flavor profile, IMO.

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellow/orange color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, guava, peach, strawberries, nectarine, lemon), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is pretty nice hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, guava, peach, strawberries, nectarine, lemon), pretty nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty brew. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake!

Bills itself as a hazy IPA but I can easily read text through it at several inches distance. Just a comment, not a complaint. I probably would have passed this up if I did due diligence and saw that the primary hop is Mosaic. Still a worthy brew.
Update - the second half of the can was totally opaque.

if memory serves mosaic has shown up in this series a fair bit, but here it is on its own. this would have been revelatory a decade ago, now seems passe, like what beer drinker doesnt know what these hops smell and taste like in this context by now? probably very few. the beer is super thick from the tap, orangish yellow and dense, more cloudy and sediment laden than most of the others in the series and without much head, kind of unimpressive to look at, despite a bright tone to it. the nose is great, drippy pineapple and bitter orange, with a botanical freshness and some strachy grain behind it, raw wheat perhaps, familiar but bold enough to stand out. the flavor is less impressive, i know it too well and there is some over hopped burn late, like i finished this pint 40 minutes ago and its still front and center on my tongue, just vegetal and green and oversaturated as they go, i dislike that more and more these days, and some restraint would have improved this, its just too much. past the burn and oily slickness this has there are some nice fruity nuances that make mosaic a star, and enough grain for this to still have some balance, hoppy as it is. lots of body, definitely one and done for me, a second pint of this would be so filling its not even appealing. overall this is tasty but a little sloppy too, especially for these guys, and for this series, which i have looked forward to and loved the whole time. perhaps a little more truly east coast style, but its a shock to the system and unnecessary on the hop dosage, at least in my opinion...

Pours a hazy, murky golden color. There's a 2 finger white and fulffy head here. The head retention is damn good, and there's nice lacing on the glass.
The nose is tropical. Mango, and hints of pineapple, and grapefruit.
Taste - I'm actually getting some lemon here. Wasn't expecting that. I also get mango, and pineapple.
Very soft and juicy body. Creamy, and full.
Delicious IPA from Fremont.

16oz can from Woodland Empire. Hazy, orange golden pour with a small, fluffy white head. Aroma sits between citrus and floral notes. Taste begins with some fruity sweetness, oranges, grapefruit, carrying on to light floral , soapy, dry flavors. Gentle bitterness with an almost minty feeling finish.

Canned 3/10; served in a pint nonic.
A: Subdued medium pale gold with moderate haze and fluffy white head.
S: Mosaic is easily identifiable here, but the specific aromas aren't jumping out at me; more of a general hoppy character with some fruitiness and mild dankness and berry character.
T: Grainy malt bill carries forward a hop profile that seems mellow, but thats not the right word. Its definitely hop forward, but the fruity complexity is subdued. I get a orange-y citrus and some melon, as well as a clean grassy characteristic. The dankness and berry notes are very mild.
MF: Fluffy and approachable and refreshing, lighter than medium bodied.
O: This does everything I thought a single-hop brew with Mosaic would do, but it isn't as bright as I had hoped. Still, its darn near crushable and its tasty enough. Personal realization; maybe Mosaic isn't my thing?

16oz can (dated 3/1/21) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a fully murky medium orange color with 1-1/2 inches of white head that had low-moderate retention and light lacing.
The aroma was dominated by the expected frooty hops of the style and low-to-no malt grain component. ditto on the tongue, just a bit brighter.
The body was the typical light-medium of the style, smooth, and had a medium finish. Drinkability was OK, probably better if one is a fan of the style. Overall, another average murkster.

Canned on 3/1/21; consumed on 3/19/21
Pours a lightly hazy burnt orange body capped with multiple fingers of fluffy, eggshell-white foam; good head retention leaves a spotty curtain of cap alongside a massive, soapy collar meeting webby layers of firm lacing caked to the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens with sensations of orange marmalade colliding with resin-laden pineapple in boisterous fashion, further accentuated in depth with spiced honeydew and mango peel before an earthier back end of floral grass and hints of herbal tea come through; peach skins steadily revive a fruity component through the close.
Taste features overripe honeydew melon with a slight mango sweetness progressing along the profile to meet flaky malts over mid-palate; bright strawberry meshes with lighter guava peel into the back end as hints of grapefruit tinges of pine steadily mark the finish.
Mouthfeel offers a medium body with moderate carbonation, soft yeast synchronized with an emerging, slight oily/resinous texture culminating in a juicy mid-palate; drying completely through the back end while an interspersed bitterness brings a mild tingle through the finish, and a wispy twang of hop acidity lingers.
Fruity sweetness meets earthy resin at an equilibrium surprisingly dry and somewhat bitter, providing a refreshing contrast to the requisite juicy saturation expected from the style; this NEIPA drinks well and shows character while maintaining its bright yet subdued hop profile.

16oz can served in a big snifter. Dated 03-01-2021. Bought it at the brewery about a week ago.
Pours hazy light amber with a medium to large fluffy head that collapses to a clumpy layer with clumpy lacing. Smell is moderate booze (weird for 6.8%), pineapple and mango, a little bit of vegetable greens and resin.
Taste is vegetable greens and resin forward, which surprises me a bit. Piney, resinous bitterness, crowding in late. Some of that mango is definitely still there, it starts out with a nice sweet tropical juicy sweetness. There a big swing from the sweet to the bitter.
Mouthfeel is medium in thickness, not sticky. Overall, it's a good beer. Maybe one of my least favorites in the HFoD series, but still a solid and enjoyable beer.
