Long lasting, creamy, off-white head. Medium light amber appearance. Balanced mixture of grapefruit/lemon peel and a caramelized, medium toasted malt aroma, with a touch of pine. Medium bite of slightly floral spiced grapefruit and tangerine peel, with an ample showing of medium toasted barley malt in support, for the taste.

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Bright golden pour, thick, fluffy white head, lots of lacing. Aroma is equal parts fruity and malty, light tobacco notes. Taste brings the dank, stone fruit, pineapple. Aroma isn't that exciting, but taste bursts in and makes this quite an enjoyable drink.

Clear, golden yellow body; moderate carbonation presence; thick, white head, lasting and somewhat sudsy. Subtle and alluring aroma; citrus and tropical fruit with a bit of biscuit; lightly spicy. Well-balanced flavors; biscuit and light cracker; very mild citrus with a touch of honey; delicate esters; prominent hop bitterness rounds things out; a bit of alcohol. Medium body; smooth and velvety; soft dry finish.
Fremont and Beachwood Brewing deftly created a well-balanced and subtly complex west coast styled India pale ale.
Pouring temperature: 49 °F; canning info: 04/04/23

unremarkable. 3 weeks since canned then into a tall tulip glass. Nice looking. Tall white head of reasonably long duration/ lots of lacing. Light gold color without haze, but smell and flavor are both very subtle and indistinct. mild bitterness.

If Raul was sailing the Ocean Blue and a Siren was singing Freemont/Beachwood Sea Song, I’d probably turn around and head back home. No, Raul is not coming home with linens, and silk, and sassy dames. Sea Sing is at the party, but he’s not having a good time. He’s in the corner constantly checking his MySpace.

Packaged on 4/3/2023 - enjoyed on 4/21/2023 - poured from a 16oz can into my Dogfish Head shaped pint glass.
Clear amber liquid with a soapy ivory fist up top. Rocky, rich lacing; excellent retention.
Resinous, slightly dank aroma with a hint of tropical/citrus as well. Restrained, if not subdued.
The honey malt character shines through the hops, leading with a bread crust/pretzels and faint lemon zest. Hop flavors are fairly traditional: grapefruit/pine with a hint of pineapple, marijuana, and blueberry. Moderate but fairly aggressive bitterness into the finish (75 IBU), which is fairly dry, but with a residual malty sweetness. Each element balances against the others, but everything appears in succession rather than developing synergy.
Slightly sticky/oily, medium-bodied, fairly warming, soft but sufficient carbonation.
Decent example of the style with perhaps some organoleptic novelty from the cryo hops, but not as good as the other IPAs I've had from Beachwood.

Canned 04/03/23.
Beautiful. Translucent, minus the most minuscule bubbles rising within, golden to amber hue capped by a fluffy white cap that maxes out just shy of 2 inches. Good retention with clumpy lacing.
Nose is subdued but does give off hints of grass, pine, the most subtle citrus zest, and a mild wet grain pop.
Flavor is slightly more assertive. Earthy pine, grass, orange zest, buckwheat, and a slow, smooth bitterness.
Mouthfeel is just shy of medium, good carbonation, smooth, but a tad dry and bitter on the finish.
Overall, this is a solid, not over the top, IPA. I tend to seek out more distinctive but sometimes you want a good example of style without too many bells and whistles. This fits that bill, although I would like a little more in the nose.

Picked this up at Trader Joes in Cerritos CA. This is a colab between Beechwood BBQ in Long Beach, CA and Fremont Brewing in Seattle so it's a West meets West situation. Aroma was a bit lacking, didn't detect much late add aroma hops. Mouthfeel was light and creamy. Carb was just right. Overall flavor was light hoppy/crisp and refreshing, given 7+ ABV this was surprising. A great offering from both solid West coast breweries.
