La Grisette, aged with Brett. in white wine barrels. Poured from a 500mL bottle into my Brasseurs de Garde flute.

Clear Stil de grain yellow body with a small active off-white cap. Poor retention; no lacing or legs.

Barnyard funk and lemon zest in the nose, bright tart and not quite goaty.

Slightly grainy backbone with peppery hops work well with the Brett. which is dominant on the palate. Rustic, tart (without a bracing or lactic sourness), with some mineral-laden white grape notes in the finish. Low bitterness.

Light bodied, effervescent, and crisp.

Grain, funk, and tartness well wedded in this limited bottle - not the cheapest wild ale around, but worth sampling if you have the opportunity.
