16oz can stamped BATCH # 6770619201 poured into a shaker pint at fridge temp, no ABV listed on can. The beer pours mostly bright light golden amber in color with off white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and little else. The aroma is faint with grain. The taste is straightforward two row malt with a touch of sour mash and minimal bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. No diacetyl, clean. Overall, ok to good. Not sure how old this is. Not a fan of batch numbers instead of dates.

Bought this more on impulse than curiosity.
And I suppose I got my just rewards. I taste this as slightly better than the macros... but why bother?

In all seriousness, this is a craft brewery's expression of an American macrobrew. Only slightly better than Bud-Light, it doesn't really have much character (i.e., flavor, aroma, etc.) at all aside from it's local history.

1 pint can into a Helles glass
A - Har pour produces a 2 finger white frothy head that dissipates rather slowly to a 1/2 finger layer that is retained throughout. Beer itself is clear, lightly carbonated with carbonation rising slowly towards the surface, and a glowing straw color that is slightly less yellow than golden. 4/5
S - Pale malt, white bread, and corn dominate the aroma of this beer. The aroma comes across grainy and sweet with a bit of grassy hops. Reminds me of walking through rows of corn in a corn field. 3.75/5
T - Malty graininess, leather, green apple, and toasted white bread all come out at once at the initial taste which is a bit unusual since green apple tends to be an after taste. Somewhat sweet due to the graininess but not overly so. Rather, this beer relies on the grainy note of the malt and corn to provide the flavor profile in order to not become overly sweet. Grassy hops provide a nice ending to the beer that is not bitter but rather an herbal balance to the graininess of the front half of the beer. No lingering bitterness. 3.75/5
M - Light bodied beer that has a light carbonation burn up front. Crisp throughout the remainder of the tasting and not really drying. No lingering feeling on the palate. Somewhat smooth and creamy at times. 4.25/5
O - More flavorful than macro lagers of this similar style. Very straightforward and approachable. Grainy, sweet, and only slightly bitter. Balanced, which makes for a good beer, especially with food. 3.75/5

16 fl oz can, canned on date 11/03/2015 printed on the bottom. "It's Ol T Time!!". My first beer from People's Brewing Company, acquired a single can of this stuff as part of a mixed six pack at the local Binny's.
Poured into a Duvel tulip glass.
A - Pours a traditional bright clear lager gold. Nice clarity when held to a light source, one finger of frothy white head that falls to a ring quickly. Some thin spotty lacing that doesn't really stick. Appears aptly carbonated. A good appearance for within it's style.
S - Typical adjunct lager aroma - creamy & grainy. Semi-husky and phenolic.
T - Taste is the same: traditional American adjunct lager flavor. Grains, corn, husk. Typical lager "beer" taste. The kind of stuff I would imagine drinking from a keg or on tap at a shitty Indiana dive bar (no offense cus I don't know you, Lafayette). In realms of being an American adjunct lager, they achieved what they were going for.
M - Feel is smooth, spritzy, creamy, easy-drinking. Very nice stuff in terms of drinkability.
Overall, in terms of style this was a success. Could give major players like Miller Lite, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and Bud Light a serious run for their money. I look forward to trying bigger and better things from People's Brewing Company.

Bought a 6-pack of 16 oz cans at People's Brewery taproom. Billed as a pre-prohibition style lager, People's website says they use Midwest 6 row base malt, flaked corn, German Munich, flaked barley, and Tradition hops. Poured a lovely golden hue w/2 fingers of head in a nonic glass. Has a bready malt character not normally associated w/adjunct beers but is still very refreshing. The malt is nicely balanced by the Tradition hops. This beer is tasty and satisfying and should work as an introduction to craft beer for those who normally drink the bland mass produced adjunct lagers. Well done People's!
