Peppery, Brett-like aroma. The taste is dominated by the yeast, which is very funky and tart and is reminisecent of Brett. Sharp, peppery finish. Not as much of a fruity malt body to combat the yeast as with most Saisons, but it works as a session beer. Very dry and crisp. Good summer seasonal.

The Randonneur has a thin, white head, a semi-clear, golden appearance, lots of bubbles, and little lacing left behind. The aroma is of pungent, sweet, white bread, and low-level brettanomyces and spices. Taste is of all those elements, with a noticeable metallic hop bitterness finishing the sip. Mouthfeel is medium and a bit slick; also lots of prickly carbonation. The Randonneur finishes dry and mellow.

with the nes bjcp designations this would go into the smallest (abv) group. And it drinks kinda' small. Not that that is bad, time and plane and all that, but it comes across with out the flavor a slightly bigger one would have.
A bit less spicy and fruity than most I'm used to. More malty and herbal in the aroma. More hints of fruit and spice. Very lacey. Light golden amber.
Complex, but again more heavier malt character than most I've had. Kinda of a grainy quality at times. More spice and less herb here. Adequate drying. Some fruit. Some hop character and I note it on the finish and some of the drying. Slightly tart, but not sour.
Heavier feel for a smaller beer. Fully bubbled.
This is solid and really complex. There is a lot going on here.

The Randonneur pours a hazy darker copper color, with a small but long lasting head. There is a spicy citrus aroma. The taste is litter, crisp, with nice lemon flavors, grass, and subtle spic es. Nice crisp flavor, creamy body. Overall its a very nice spicy summer saison.
