Fulton War and Peace is a Russian Imperial Stout conditioned with whole bean PEACE COFFEE in the fermentation tank. It's an epic work of beer, but unlike the novel, this beer is brief and fleeting, appearing just once a year in Winter. Historic quantities of chocolate malt and roast barley clash over a field of dark roast Peace Coffee beans. Like Tolstoy's masterpiece, it may take some time to finish and require some thought along the way. But by the end, we think you'll find yourself better for the effort. Better yet? This version (exclusively found in our Mixed Coffee 4pack) we've added Cacao Nibs for a rich, chocolate taste.

Pours a pitch black color. 1 finger tan head that has quite amazing retention for a high ABV beer. There's some lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
The nose is coffee up front. I also do get hints of chocolate.
Taste - There's coffee, and I taste it throughout, but it's not overpowering. I get a nice hint of chocolate and vanilla in this beer. There's also a hint of bitterness that does linger in my palate, that's pleasing.
A bit lighter bodied than I was expecting, however, not watery in the least. There's a bit of smoothness to this beer.
Damn tasty Imperial coffee stout.

This has all the best components of the base beer (big coffee and char aromas/flavors) and adds delectable cacao flavors which elevates this 5 levels, IMHO. Absolutely love it.

12oz can. One of a Mixed Coffee 4-pack.
Black colored body with garnet back lit highlights. One finger of tan head, which settles back to active island and ring. Not much lacing stays above the body but a few spots cling to the glass.
Aroma is first presented upon can opening by a wafting smell of dark coffee, and the aroma from the glass is heavy with this dark coffee, along with dark roasted malts, and there is a cacao element also when deeply whiffed.
Taste is also heavy dark coffee laden, along with dark roasted malts, and a cacao element that blends well with the darkness and the coffee. Other than the dark coffee bitterness, this beer does not display any additional bitterness.
Medium plus mouth feel, quite smooth for texture. Good supportive carbonation.
This is still for the most part a War & Peace beer, but the added cacao does blend in well, and adds an additional layer of complexity.

Can. Tan head. Dark brown color, nearing black.
Excellent blend of coffee and chocolate/cocao. Smooth, roasted, creamy, delightful. Caramel and vanilla sweetness. Malty. Full bodied, perfect carbonation. Nice feel. A highlight of the mix 4 pack for sure.

The best of the Fulton mix coffee pack. The beer, coffee, and cacao all work harmoniously instead of overpowering the other components. Alcohol is well disguised.
