Pours a turbid dark orange colour. Headless. Cinnamon and the usual spices are the smell. The taste adds a bit pumpkin flavour to the spices. Just a typical pumpkin beer. I’ve had better, I’ve had worse.

473 ml can served cold into a snifter. LCBO purchase for around $3.75 CDN.
Appearance - Muddy dark orange/ brown with auburn hues. A finger plus of off-white head that fades pretty quick.
Smell - Quite a bit of pumpkin, some clove, some sweetness via brown sugar, traces of cinnamon.
Taste - Some earthy pumpkin flavors, with bits of sweetness, some clove and cinnamon too.
Mouthfeel - Medium-full bodied, middling carbonation and full finish with lots of little microbubbles.
Overall - One of the better pumpkin ales I've had recently. Not necessarily a standout, but a little more substance than some of the other lighter pumpkin beers. Taste maybe needs just a hint more sweetness to make this a beer worth coming back to.

473 mL can from the LCBO; coded F2821 (Jun 28 2021) and served barely chilled.
Pours a foggy copper-amber colour, producing nearly two fingers of puffy, foamy, off white-coloured head that gradually recedes. Within about five minutes, it has been reduced to a creamy collar of froth and filmy cap, with gobs of beautiful, stringy lacing also left in its wake - a fine looking beer, for sure. Smells sweet, with brown sugar, caramel candy, squash and dried fruits, along with an understated spiciness - there's no ingredients list to confirm exactly which spices were used, but I'm getting hints of vanilla, ginger, cinnamon and allspice.
A half-decent pumpkin ale - the underlying amber-style ale is nice enough, and the spices are fairly complementary, but the overall profile is too saccharine. Toasted bread & nuts, biscuit, caramelized malts and brown sugar, with notes of vanilla and cinnamon coming through by mid-sip; hints of allspice, ginger and nutmeg then linger into a mildly spicy, moderately sugary aftertaste that clings to the taste buds more than I'd prefer. Medium in body, with low carbonation and a smooth, relatively slick mouthfeel - not at all refreshing or 'crisp', but this texture suits sweeter spiced ales IMO. One can was more than enough for me, but I feel that way about all spiced beers.
Final Grade: 3.48, a B-. Gahan's Pumpkin Ale is a tad too sweet for my tastes, but as far as pumpkin ales go, it's basically acceptable, middle of the road, serviceable, etc. I don't think it'll be blowing many socks off, but if you like pumpkin spice ales there's no reason not to give this one a shot. A pretty forgettable offering in the end - I'd consider picking it up again in the future, but there's not exactly a strong, deep-seated need for me to do so.

Hazy deep amber with small head. Faint caramel nose with hint of spice. Light carbonation on smooth malt body. Light spice on finish. A decent pumpkin ale.
