A good beer for a hot day, touch of line with low bitterness and not very hoppy..

473 ml can served cold into a tulip. LCBO purchase for $3 CDN.

Appearance - Slightly hazy rich gold color capped with a finger of light fluffy white head. Modets retention and not much lacing.

Smell - Very fresh, with wheat, lemon and salt not surprisingly being present but what ups the game is the distinct lime aroma. Quite pleasant and a nice little twist.

Taste - Like the nose with wheat, lemon and lime showing through. Some pepper at the end and mild salt throughout. Pretty refreshing flavorwise. Flavors on the thin side, but doesn't hurt it much in this style.

Mouthfeel - Medium-light bodied, modest carbonation and salty finish.

Overall - A pretty tasty and refreshing summer gose. The lime is a nice little addition and this is pretty easy to drink. Worth a try.

This beer pours a hazy golden colour and the head is a frothy white.

The smell is fresh white bread, citrus hops, and a bit of lime. This transfers to the taste. There is a really nice tartness to this beer that I think reflects the sea salt, black pepper, and lime.

The beer is light bodied and the finish is quite smooth.

This would go well with nachos.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Apr 5 2018 and served slightly chilled. Reviewed from notes.

Pours a lightly fogged golden-blonde colour, managing to generate a paltry half-centimetre of loose, soda-pop foam that quickly scatters. A paper thin collar is the only thing that sticks around for more than two minutes' time; no lacing, either. Falls a bit flat visually, and the aroma doesn't improve matters much - it's extremely faint, and remains that way even as the brew warms. I'm getting subtle notes of lemon, lime and wheat husk, and maybe some salty ocean air, but I can't convince myself that anything else is there.

Fortunately it does taste a fair bit better than it smells. Wheaty grain husk and some crackery pale malt sweetness provide the appropriate backup, with citrusy flavours of lime juice and lemony tartness coming through clearly by mid-sip. The lime almost seems to overtake or assume the role of any lactic acidity that may be present. Hints of black tea; it finishes with some lingering lemon-lime tartness, which give way to a salty aftertaste that takes a few moments to reveal its mild black pepper spiciness. Light in body, with moderately assertive carbonation that briskly prickles the palate, working nicely in conjunction with the peppercorn spiciness. Crisp and pretty refreshing, in addition to being very easy to toss back.

Final Grade: 3.49, a B-. Lake of Bays' Spin Dive Summer Gose is a better stab at this style than I expected it to be. The lime is a nice addition, blending seamlessly with the baseline salty-sourness of the gose style, and I am also partial to the black pepper notes that come through on the back end. A good beginner's gose; the low levels of lactic acidity (largely subsumed by the lime sourness) are unlikely to turn off the newbies. I'd recommend giving it a shot as soon as possible, while the cans are still fresh, instead of putting it off until August and taking your chances with old stock.

Straight up one of the best goses out of Canada. I've tried everything from Collective Arts to Leipzig to Westbrook to Wakefield to Trillium to this, and this is straight up one of the best goses to grace my tastebuds. Keep doing exactly this and you will succeed as a brewery.

Would be better without the pepper. Also quite salty.
