375 mL bottle. Brown body. Smells of lots of oak, red wine, vanilla, toasted malt. Tastes of vinous tartness, vanilla, brown bread, and toasted oak. Moderate tartness. Not sure I could pick this out as different from the other Phenomenology vintages, but, as with the others, it's nice.

Pours a light fizzy small off-white head with med to lower retention, touch of lacing, dark chestnut brown color
Nose has a lot going on, a touch of chocolate in the background, vanilla barrel notes, a bit of sweet port wine and rich red wine, plenty of nice funk, lambic-like souring bacteria and little barnyard funk, rich red wine with a touch of plum, and sour cherry
Taste brings some tart funk again, mild souring bacteria and barnyard funk but a nice version, again lambic-like but not quite that funky, fair sour with bright acidity, more fruits again with some plum, sour cherry, dark red wine, plum-wine maybe, a bit of sweet port and almost brandy-like character, some vanilla oak and a little buttery oak note, touch of chocolate again, finishes fairly dry with a little tart flemmy
Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, med to higher fizzy carb, fair acidity,
Overall pretty nice beer, great funk and tart acidity, nice port barrel notes, good fruit, wish I had more as usual for Hill
