The 2022 edition of Song Of Spring is reborn as a hoppy pale lager brewed with Motueka™ hops from Freestyle Farms, our agricultural partner in Upper Moutere, New Zealand; Cascade, grown by nearby Whitefield Hop Yards in Hardwick; and Crystal, grown by Champlain Valley Hops in Starksboro, Vt.

16 oz. can. Cloudy yellow, big white head. Smells fruity with lime zest and a deep earthy and grassy hop backdrop. Tastes less of the fruity hops, more of the earthy and grassy hops. Sweet bready malts. A little lime behind it. Bitterness and grassiness linger in the finish and it's a little bit unpleasant. Can't say I like it. The hops are aggressive enough that they are the main flavor and they aren't playing well together.

Pours a cloudy straw-gold body topped with multiple fingers of fluffy, white foam; excellent head retention yields two fingers of craggy, soapy cap, a commensurate, frothy collar, and chunky webs of lacing caked across the walls of the glass.
Aromas of dry grass and water cracker upfront give way to lime peel, distant lavender, and tinges of white grape over the middle, while musty stone fruit and florality lingers as the bouquet calmly fluctuates between malt and hop prominence.
Taste opens to light melon and grapefruit peel as dried lavender meets rose petals and water cracker over the mid-palate; a quiet florality eases to key lime one the back end, while fresh-cut grass lingers through the finish.
Mouthfeel shows a light body with carbonation on the higher end of moderate; a crackery crispness over the mid-palate cedes to shades of subtle bitterness on the back end, feeding into a paper-dry finish.
The varied character expressed in this exceptionally quenching, delicate delivery highlights expert control in the subtle attenuations of a hop-forward lager, unifying crisp, airy malts with a wispy hop overtone in effortless, attentive fashion.

This one pours a clear orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like lime zest, hop spice, some grassiness, melon, pineapple, and peach.
This is honestly tremendous. It's essentially a hoppy and dank pale in a lager dress, but that doesn't detract from how delicious it is. There's a dank and marijuana-like bitterness, with some stone-fruit like fruity sweetness, some melon rind, grapefruit, and lime.
This is light bodied, juicy, and crisp, with a very good drinkability.
This is one of the best new hoppy beers that I've had from Hill Farmstead in a while now.

This is honestly tremendous. It's essentially a hoppy and dank pale in a lager dress, but that doesn't detract from how delicious it is. There's a dank and marijuana-like bitterness, with some stone-fruit like fruity sweetness, some melon rind, grapefruit, and lime.
This is light bodied, juicy, and crisp, with a very good drinkability.
This is one of the best new hoppy beers that I've had from Hill Farmstead in a while now.
