This, the thirty-seventh entry in our blended barrel-aged Farmstead® ale collection, spans more than five years and is comprised of wine barrel-aged Anna from late winter 2019, Wheat Blanc from late spring 2019 and a few additional selected threads from late 2018. The barrel lineage for this assembly includes Sarrasin, Works of Love, Sante Adairius Rustic Ales, Flora, Ann and Art.
Its unhurried journey from brew day to assembly to glass traverses nearly four years of conditioning in the bottle prior to release. Observing this over these four years in bottle, we anticipate that this blend has an extended path of positive expression for the next 5 (or more) years; its current manifestation exhibits a delightful balance of integrated acidity, texture and weight.
We can now present another blended experience of time, place and patience.

750ml bottle, dated March 3, 2020, poured into a stemless wine glass. Enjoyed on 01.20.2025, reviewed from Tasting Journal.
The beer pours a bright golden straw color, honey hues, very clear with a fizzy white head that offers no retention nor lacing. The aroma is excellent, earthy funk, herbal tea, wildflower, candied hop, lemon citrus, pale grain, vinous oak barrel. The flavors are great, mineral water and lemon citrus leap out, herbal tea, earthy oak, fruity funk, bitter and green candied hop, sweet grain, wildflower, and vinous wine barrel linger. The mouthfeel is good, coating, very lively, tart medium body, easy but dry finish, very bright.
Verdict: A very nice blend of saisons. The beer just feels like a great distillation of a Hill Farmstead beer, very distinctive, bright, expressive, balanced yet nuanced. A delight.

Golden clear appearance, foamy white head, decent retention. Lemon, hay, citrus, young funk, low acidity. Moderate body, moderate to light carbonation.

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a relatively large white foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of tart notes with some vinous notes and oak presence can also be detected. Taste is also a good mix of tart notes with light funky ester with some vinous notes and oak with no noticeable acidic notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable sour ale with a good level of complexity.

This one pours a clear straw golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like honey, wheat, rustic grain, lemon zest, pear, and stone fruit.
I have really not had many bad entries to this series. This has a really mature and “old” flavor to it – in a good way. There’s white wine, funky stone fruit, lemon peel and lemon zest, oak, and a slightly cheesy barnyard funk, with a soft citrusy finish. I get a little bit of honey and wheaty sweetness, too.
This is light bodied, clean, crisp, and very soft.
I could drink something like this all day long – it’s quite tasty.

Phenomenal and complex blended funky saison.
Quite tart and funky on the nose. Vinegar-like sharpness, mushroom, cheese, white wine, white grapes, oak, lemon, and honey.
On the palate, it's very lightly sharp, with the funkiness taking a more prominent role. At the same time, the delicate base beer(s) are more noticeable.
Hill Farmstead may not be quite as hyped as they once were, but they are still one of the preeminent brewers of farmhouse ales on the planet, and this beer does not disappoint.
