On tap at Sabatinis in Exeter pa early this evening.

Pale hazy yellow body, small bubbly white head, rings of lacing. Hoppy aroma, citrus notes. Taste is of grapefruit, but restrained. Uses 7 hop varieties, but not a hop bomb. Finish is clean, not long lasting.

Overall, very sessionable beer, could put down 3 or 4 if I didn't have a long drive ahead of me.

Canned 22 days ago.

L -- Bright golden straw body with moderate haze. Finger of dense off-white head produced with moderate pour. Great retention and lacing
S -- Lime zest, yellow grapefruit, lemongrass, cattiness. Very fresh
T -- Unripe mango, white grape, dank grapefruit pith, leafy earthiness, honeydew melon. Again, very fresh
F -- The usual HF soft+mineralic combo. Dry
O -- Very fitting to the name. Good offer this year

(16 oz can, canned on: 04/01/24, 'brewed with New Zealand and Vermont hops'; purchased cold 4-pack at the brewery last week... poured into my Trillium fat tulip)

L: fairly murky moonlight yellow-amber colored liquid; firm foam build, rising high, filling out thick, holding tight... damn that head is still glorious even after disrupted by my first sip, but eventually settles out, not before leaving a plump ring of lace at the top

S: musky mango with a wool (or burlap) overtone, some subtle wildflower highlights... after some sips, can't not notice the oat-ish base, but I could be confusing that with the earthy elements of the hops

T: noticeably not 'sweet' juicy as expected from a hazy IPA; the mango from the nose is subtle, still holding in the aftertaste, but is met and dominated by floral (almost but not quite rose) and green grassy flavors... by the third-fourth sips, a hint of doughy/oatmealy malt emerges... I don't think this is their house yeast, unless they adjusted the temperatures... the floral overtone builds in the aftertaste

F: resin rich, oat smoothie luxury... soft and silky... perfect measure of comforting warmth from the alcohol... kind of drinks like a hefeweizen in regards to the shape of its body and residuals... gentle caressment all around, soothing

O: quite nice, refreshingly distinct to a degree as, though not a complete novice, I haven't delved into too many hoppy beers made with the NZ hops... I love how relatively dry it is... would get this again, as I would with anything reminding me of Taras Boulba (2290)
