The first beer brewed at Hill Farmstead, and the one we brew every week… the beer that built the brewery. For fifteen years, we have dutifully crafted this American Pale Ale from American malted barley, a plethora of American hops, our ale yeast, and water from Edward’s well. To celebrate the grand opening, we offer a special Anniversary Edition, double dry-hopped and hop-backed with whole-leaf Simcoe®.

Drank late July. From a 16oz can dated 6/17/25 into a pint glass.
Pours an orangish brown with some floaties. One finger of off-white head. Ok retention, great lacing.
Earthy, herbal, grassy, light citrus and citrus peel aromas.
Taste is citrus up front with herbals in the background.
Smooth, full-bodied mouthfeel with low carbonation.
Great pale ale-flavor packed.

Perhaps a hair hazier than regular Edward, here on-site it's just fully opaque darkly dull orange under a lumpy, creamy two and a half finger head of off-white foam that clings in short, craggy waves.
First taste is Edward all day, but after two sips, it certainly reveals itself to be more hoppy, even featuring some green and gassy fumes amidst a classic notion of evergreen.
Still, it's got a crazy full, chewy body despite an overall lighter constitution, while also seeming to finish a hair drier than regular.

Pours an unfiltered golden color with a fluffy off white head that grips the glass with ropes of lacing. Beautiful APA.
The nose is a bit dank, with some weedy notes as well as apricot, grapefruit, and resiny pine, and a dash of caramalt. Lovely.
The dank quality is more prominent on the taste, with a nice bit of weed present, balanced beautifully by the apricot, grapefruit, and especially the slight bitterness from the resiny pine, before easing into the subtle caramalt flavor.
The mouthfeel is light and delightfully dry, fitting the 5.2% ABV perfectly. This is so well executed and a tribute to Hill Farmstead’s prowess as a brewery. A must have if you can find it, IMHO.

This one pours a slightly orange-ish color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like resinous pine, orange peel, grapefruit peel, and melon.
This has a more assertive bitterness than Edward usually has, but definitely in a good way. There’s pine, marijuana, and a sort of spicy hop character, and it lingers, but in a clean and refreshing way. There’s also lots of grapefruit, with melon, and a distinct rindiness.
This is light bodied, juicy but finishes bitter, with a great drinkability.
This has a nice old school rusticity that I really enjoy. I’m glad I have a few cans of this one.

15th anniversary on draft. Much more punchy in both the aromas and the flavors. I'm getting a lot of fresh sweet leaf basil in addition to the more typical citrus and grassy notes that are characteristic of 'normal' Edward. Best hoppy beer of the day, and one of my favorites to date from the brewery
