This entry in our blended double-barrel aged series is composed of two threads: A portion of our cherished imperial stout, Damon, rested for 24 months in bourbon barrels and then spent 18 additional months divided between bourbon barrels from two different distilleries; this was then blended with an imperial stout aged for 14 months in a Privateer Rum barrel. The curated blend was then conditioned atop a blend of vanilla beans from Ecuador, Tahiti, and Uganda.

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like milk chocolate, creamy and fruity vanilla, caramel, rum spice, leather, roasted malt, and bourbon.
This has such a velvety, creamy, and luxurious flavor to it. There’s a nice amont of vanilla, without it being overwhelming – adding some creamy sweet, caramel, and slightly cherry-like notes to the beer. There’s a ton of milk chocolate, a touch of roasty and oaky bitterness, with some nice rum sweetness.
This is medium bodied, very creamy, and fairly lightly carbonated.
This series has been absolutely excellent.
