can dated 7/13/20 poured to a tulip
hazy pale yellow gold body with a small sudsy head that quickly settles down to a patchy suds ring around the cap and leaves a moderate amount of bubbly lacing
smell is of thick and smooth citrus hop with a sliver of pine.
taste is juicy lush citrus by way of lemon and juicy side of grapefruit. shade of herbal green rears it head with a heavy lean in on the earthy pine that is usually left out in a NEIPA it seems. slight grainy malt for a backbone.
moderately high carbonation with a light-side-o'medium body that feels full. smooth sailing with a slightly earthy bitter-dry finish
overall:
if you hear "dank" and think, say, Hop Stoopid or Waldos, then think of this particular "dank" announcement as the plucky nephew that totally wants that life and gets the references, but doesn't go all in. that is to say - this is not a "dank" IPA for anyone devoted to the school of dank, but it's recognizable. dank lite perhaps??
that PSA outta the way, it's a smooth sailing NEIPA that likes to reference a solid dose of pine while slamming down the tropical citrus jazz. it's also a little on the sweet side and only barely balances the beam with the bitter scale. this makes it a great session brew or slammer or cruiser that certainly doesn't skimp on the hop.

Pours a very hazy golden color with a thin foamy head. Head retention is minimal and lacing is good. Mainly citrus aroma. Not juicy. Nice citrus taste with some earthiness. Some grapefruit. There is some dankness but there is more citrus. Light to medium bodied with mild to moderate carbonation.

Got a six pack at Whole Foods. Pounded down 3. Has a citrus aroma , Hazy appearance. Juicy flavor. Very easy to drink. Packs a really good buzz. My only problem, NOT a DANK BEER. Don't make Dank the largest word on the can.

A: A bright yellow in color, hazy with white head.
S: Tropical notes with grapefruit, and orange peel. Perhaps some melon, or maybe stone fruit.
T: Flavor follows with tropical fruit, and citrus. Bitterness is a little assertive for the style, but I think that might be a bit refreshing.
M: Medium feel, with a nice amount of creaminess
O: Overall a pretty good brew. simple, unassuming, and tasty.

The CANQuest (tm) is rolling along at high speed & now, having been duly CANspired by @Jimmy_Kneecaps I am taking a walk on the Odd Side, next to Lou Reed.
From the CAN: "India Pale Ale with Citra Hops".
Are they zoomin' me?!? An all-Citra hopped AIPA?!? Be still, my thumping heart! I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug, but to no avail. Clarity was clearly an afterthought & not even much of one. I then let it roll out of the CAN as it saw fit, forming just under two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with great retention, leaving loads of lacing in its wake. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose sent me into overdrive! Citrus hops, unadorned & in all their glory! 8=O I thought that such single-hops type beers were banned in the tropical age! Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, almost creamy & plenty slick. Taste was … to paraphrase the Bible - "Woody wept."
I have adored Citra hops ever since I got turned onto the 5 Cs (Citra, Columbus, Cascade, Chinook & Centennial) & later, the 7 Cs (Citra, Columbus, Cascade, Chinook, Centennial, Cluster & Crystal), but the Southern Hemisphere hops supplanted them as the new big thing! 8=(
This was Back to the Future action, hopefully portending a return to bittering hops & NOT tropical fruitiness that makes me jones & itch like I've got hives. Man, I wanna mainline this bad boy & flyyyy! My tongue was trying to French-kiss the hops as soon as they hit the landing pad of my palate & my nose thought that I was burning hops incense. Mmm. I gotta do this more often! I was left curious as to the malt bill. S.M.A.S.H.? If not, then it was again a malt bill designed to make fermentable sugars & dive for cover as the yeast did its work & to get outta the way of the hops!
Fackin' MichiCAN is killin' it today! Come in, @Another6Pack !
Finish was dry, citrusy-bitter & JUST the thing to take the edge off of my jones. Phew! It was all beginning to have a CANmulative effect, but how CAN I stop now?!? YMMV.

Refreshing, crisp IPA sampled on tap at Odd Side Ales. Truly as dank as its name. Nice hazy yellow-orange color with some fluffy white head and spotty lingering lacing. Smells of citrus zest hops - orange, lemon, mango, guava, grapefruit - as well as some malt, caramel and floral hops. Lots of grassy hops, dank and a little piney. Taste follows the nose, well balanced, good malt backbone sweetness along with the hoppy, dank bitter bite at the end. Smooth, mild mouthfeel, just the right amount of carbonation. Truly a good, deep, dank IPA.
