NOTE: I was reviewing this blindly from a BIF box the ever generous BigIronH sent me. My original blind review stands here and I entered this review after revealing what beer it is
Pours completely jet black with 2 fingers of frothy dark tan head that slowly fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is absolutely decadent, just layers of chocolately sweetness and roasted malt. I'm picking up on aromas of dark toast, milk chocolate, burnt caramel, vanilla bean, sweet whiskey, dry oak, red grape, roasted hazelnut, and very light leafy hops
There's a similar bite to it all in taste, very well balanced. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting brownie batter, hazelnut, vanilla bean, burnt caramel, dry oak, brown sugar, raisin, light whiskey, and dark toast. The swallow brings notes of sweet whiskey, raisin, dry oak, salted caramel, milk chocolate, vanilla bean, dark roast coffee, roasted hazelnut, and red grape
A medium body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a rich yet crisp beer. Finishes bone dry and somehow refreshing.
Time for the big reveal...
It's Odd Side Bombon De La Muerte! Now I know why Harley requested I drink it in a certain timeframe, it's for Día de los Muertos! I think I was picking up the sea salt as some roasty character, though I did note salted caramel on the finish. This is a super fun beer and the first of many he sent me in this BIF

The pour was stout black with a rather short lived light brown head that left no lacing.
The aroma is lost on me, stupid Covid.
The flavors are coffee and chocolate and light salt. Really well balanced and tasty.
The feel is mildly viscous, quite appropriate for the style and flavor.
OA, good beer. I’m happy to have found this.

12oz can. Bottom can lip is stamped 'MFG 09/01/22'.
Black colored body, with red mahogany back lit edge. One finger of tan head; this reduces to a cap with higher ring. Oily sheen left behind.
Aroma is dark roasted malts with bourbon barrel, oak, vanilla, and chocolate.
Taste is smooth and salty, with bourbon soaked chocolate malts. Kind of sweet, along with the oak, vanilla, and dark fruit of the barrel. Higher ABV% leads to drying in the aftertaste.
Thicker than medium mouth feel. So smooth, yet warming, but without alcohol burn. Higher ABV% is well hidden. Good carbonation.
A rich chocolate and bourbon soaked stout. Smooth fudge brownie dessert beer. Food pair it with habanero cheese.

Wow! Thats to strohme2 for this surprise gem.
Pours the deepest, darkest brown you can conceive before blackness takes over. A petite mocha fluff rises and slowly settles into a most elegant film and beautifully defined ring. Smooth, graceful layers of lacing.
The nose is pure bliss. Deep, rich bakers chocolate, dark fudge (still warm), slightly charred caramel, some sweet alcohol heat akin to bourbon or brandy.
The flavor follows suit. Lush and decadent. A swirl of cocoa, booze, roast, caramel, charred barrel, a gentle salted caramel note, and a kiss of vanilla. Wow.
Mouthfeel is mildly chewy, viscous, and sweet and warm in the finish.
Overall, I find this to be an amazing take on a version of a Mexican stout.

Pours thick black with nice mocha head that dissipates leaving a ring around the rim of the glass and scattered foam on the surface. The nose is dominated by bourbon barrel oak and vanilla. The taste is outstanding. The bourbon barrel oak and vanilla blends really nicely with a rich dark chocolate, roasted malts and a hint of salt. Thick and syrupy mouthfeel. Overall a fantastic bourbon barrel stout.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This newest WOWZA brew pours
a heavy, thick, obsidian with a VERY nice head of brown foam that
settles to a thick ring, thin clumping layer, and sports great lacing.
Nose of rich dark chocolate, dark espresso, light salinity, and touches
of dark fruit layered with char with rich bourbon and oak. Flavors nail it!
Dark chocolate fudge, dark espresso, char, brulee, light vanilla, bourbon,
oak, dark fruit notes of black and blueberry, and finishing with a
nice representation of sea salt on the rear. Excellent mouth feel;
full, slick, coating, rich, lightly warming for such a high ABV, light
subtly prickly carbonation, and a bitter malt and bourbon finish-----
with a hint of sea salt!
Overall---newest WOW brew! A must have!
Cheers
