Caramelized banana flavors and strong clove aromas with hints of vanilla. This full bodied, low bitterness beer is delicious and creamy yet with a refreshing finish from high carbonation. Dunkel = Dark, Weizen = Wheat

Pours a deep auburn, head retention was a little trouble some, my only knock on "look." Banana, caramel on the nose. Banana is definitely the stand out flavor but there is a nice underpinning of clove. There's some additional spice notes - cinnamon stands out for me but it's warming spices. This is supremely refreshing.

After trying Notch’s Hefeweizen a while back, and really enjoying their Racuh Weisse yesterday, I knew I had to try their Dunkelweizen. I’ve been seeing a few more around recently and I have one fermenting myself so it’s perfect for the weather getting cooler. Let’s see what Notch’s is all about
Pours a cloudy orange brown with 2 fingers of light tan head that fades to a ring and leaves minimal lacing. The lack of head on all of Notch’s wheat beers is a bit disappointing honestly
Man, this just smells straight up delicious, dark malt flavors with fruity overtones. I’m picking up on aromas of dark toast, overripe banana, clove, sweet toffee, herbal hops, light orange, and brown sugar
It’s less intense in taste than I expected but still really good. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting overripe banana, brown bread, clove, sweet caramel, orange zest, floral hops, and light honey. The swallow brings notes of dark toast, orange zest, banana, herbal hops, earthy wheat, toffee, and light clove
A light medium body pairs moderate tingling carbonation, resulting in a smooth yet refreshing beer. Finishes mostly dry and nicely balanced
Once again, not the best looks, but this is absolutely delicious. Not quite Weihenstephan level, but great still
