Guest Brewer Jeff Biegert hails from New Belgium Brewery and leads the Colorado State University brewery and fermentation program. Jeff brewed a classic Saison at our Salem Brewery, and used a variety of spices (Gentian Root, Cubeb Berries and Mugwort), local malt from Valley Malt in MA, and a classic Saison yeast fermented at a high temp for max flavor. Jeff's connection with Notch is a special one, he spent five years brewing with Notch founder Chris Lohring at Boston's Tremont Brewery.
