Brownish amber with a brief head in the pint shaker. Slightly prickly mouthfeel, but it does no justice to the German tradition.
Flavor is pretty anemic. There's a slight maltiness which is pleasant. It's more of a Marzen with a faint grainy zing. Slightly sweet. I wouldn't say there was any rye flavor, which is exactly what it does need. But at least it's a light, toasty quaff. On tap at the Epic Annex in Sugar House.
