Doesn't smell like a lager. Doesn't look like a lager. Doesn't taste like a lager. This smells, looks and tastes like a very mediocre session IPA. There is nothing "lager" about this brew so I don't understand why Epic put "lager" on the can. A 2.5 is probably generous.

Look-Pale yellow lager typical of any American adjunct.
Smell-Bready,Biscuity,slightly astringent
Taste-Tastes quite great. The beer has a pilsner esque crispness that I really enjoy with a solid malty/hoppy background to make it more interesting compared to other American Lagers.
Feel-Crispy short lasting would be perfect for a hot summer day.

new yellow ripper from these guys, i have liked their lagers before and am happy to welcome a well made everyday drinker to their lineup. it looks great from the tap, golden and clear with a sporty inch of lasting white head, some rings as it drinks, tons of bubbles rising up to join the head, and a lively look from start to finish. its not wildly interesting, but it really doesnt need to be, i can taste the freshness of the malts, lightly nutty but still very pale and light, and i appreciate the restrained hops, its just balancing bitterness late, nothing real aromatic or expressive about them, slightly more northwestern than noble, but i could be wrong on that, and the ferment is clean and tidy, this is dry and brisk, less than medium bodied but not so light as to be watered down feeling, and the carbonation is on point. its a great food beer, loved a spicy fried shrimp po boy in my context, but would be widely versatile with a number of cuisines, and possibly enhanced by a culinary partner. not boring on its own, but it works better on a table. lightly grassy as it warms, a touch of mid palate sweetness, but the finish remains clean and without a lot of lager yeast flavor. nice four season lager here.
