This is a funky bunch of wild and sour flavors fermented in French Oak Foeders using Boneyard's proprietary culture, lactobacillus and a blend of brettanomyces. A secondary fermentation on fresh raspberries creates a complex, yet well-rounded wild ale.

Name is right, but description doesn't seem to match the beer I have. My bottle says "wild ale brewed with raspberries," and the listing is under "Belgian Strong Dark Ale" -- abv on the bottle is 5.7%, and listing is 6.0%. If there's a date on it, I don't see it. I'm going to review it with wild ale in mind, not Belgian Strong Dark Ale.
Pours a deep amber color with a a very, very slight reddish tint. Head on initial pour was fairly large, but it fades fast to a fairly small, fine ring. Lots of fine, slow carbonation sustaining it. Smell is tart raspberries.
Taste is moderate tartness and moderate to strong raspberry flavor.
Mouthfeel is medium, dryish, effervescent. Overall, nice tasty beer.

This was the second beer I consumed at the Bistro Barrel Aged festival 2018. I believe it was the worst beer I had all day, which is crazy given how much I've loved Boneyard (hoppy) beers in the past.
Pours a ruddy brown, looks similar in appearance to an oud bruin/brown ale. Almost no head on it, maybe a 1/12" tan head to it, flimsy AF. Aroma was big on the wooden gym socks. For being a raspberry beer (the reason I wanted to try it second, as I wanted to see how it held up to the previous raspberry beer from Barrelworks) it just didn't pop jack shit in the fruit department. Disappointing. The sour aspect was muddled, about a 3 on the 10pt scale, earthy brown malt notes, a funk presence that wasn't pleasant. Just a mess all around. I didn't find it did anything well.
Total swing and a miss, the first ever for Boneyard in my book. They had Gooze Cruze also, but after such an effort here, I didn't go back and try that one. Bruh.
