On tap at the Atomic Cowboy. Orangouch of color, ok head. Aroma is hoppy and has only the mildest bit of grapefruit. The grapefruit is present in the flavor but it's really more citrus and a good bitterness from the hops. Overall a decent beer but nowhere near the level of grapefruit Sculpin.

Sampled at SAVOR 2015. Clean and bitter with a little grapefruit, but can't hold a candle to Grapefruit Sculpin.

Type: 16-oz. draft
Glass: Large snifter
From: Tap n Handle in Fort Collins, Colo.
Price: $5.00
Purchased: April 18, 2015
Consumed: April 18, 2015
Misc.: N/A

Poured a caramel, semi-clear color with two fingers of frothy, white head when I got it. Nice circular spotty lacing on the sides of the glass. Above average retention. (Sight - 4.00)

Smelled Citra, caramel, light grapefruit and buttery malts. (Smell - 3.75)

Tasted similar to the nose, getting those buttery malts, veggies, Citra, sharp grapefruit, some floral hops with a bitter finish. (Taste - 3.50)

Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 3.25)

Just not that good overall and I regret even getting it when there were so many good beers there. Bitterness just dominated the palate. Not close to balanced at all. (Overall - 3.50)

22 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a big creamy white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is huge grapefruit and piney, resiny hops.

The flavor is some sweet bready malt and fruit with grapefuit, pine and resiny hops with decent bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a nicely balanced IPA with lots of fruit and grapefruit and big piney resiny hops.
