Undated 16 oz. can. Possibly a Cinco de Mayo seasonal? Also, my can reads 4.9%...
Very pale straw pour that almost resembles champagne were it not for the big fat thumbprint head. Moderate lacing. Looks the part of a Mexican lager. Smells light; whispers of corn with an odd alcohol note. Light perfume-esque hops. Tastes as it smells, just a bit amped up and with enough malty sweetness for a little heft and body. Well-balanced. Tastes really nice; not as light as it smells. Also, not overly-carbonated as I had feared. Wicked dry finish that brings out the corn a bit more somehow. I like this; it's traditional, but they definitely put their own spin on it. The label boasts that it's even better "with a lime", but it most certainly is not. This is one Mexican lager that is just fine on it's own. It _is_ pretty nice with a salted rim, though, if you're a high blood pressure maniac like me. Gives things a popcorn vibe.
