The summer installment of our entrepôt series "warehouse ale" is a dry hopped summer session saison. Pale gold in color, the unique blend of French and American yeast strains combine with the hops to bring forth notes of pepper, hay, melons, and strawberries.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a ruddy burnt yellow color with a finger and a half's worth of white rocky foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Lace glided down the glass in a messy sort of way.
The aroma softened the touch of some berry sweet and tartness, gentle funk, light sour, some lemonzest, subtle grassiness and a touch of clean earth.
The flavor guided the prior mentioned aromas together nice and tart, semi-sweet sourdough, and bled into the aftertaste pretty nice.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionable to sipping sort of quality about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, pretty nice Summer saison pulling all of the strings together in an awesome sort of way.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Batch June 2016. Sampled on December 28, 2016.

It pours a hazy, unfiltered yellow-grapefruit colored pour with a large foamy, fluffy white head that lingers and then laces.

There are some nice aromas such as lemonzest, citrus, sourdough, yeasty, and and kind of barnyard note. I think given that it is 6 months old some of the promised berry characters have faded.

Light to medium body but very soft and smooth.

As it warms I pick up more of the berry characters in the taste but otherwise it is mostly white bread, a little lemon, and a nice dry after bite,

12oz. bottle dated June 2016

Pours cloudy foggy hazy yellow gold with a creamy white foam head. Smells like pineapple, honey, fresh cut grass, lemony orange and grapefruit citrus, damp musty hay, wheat, vanilla, plantain, green apple, honeydew melon, sweet spice, with herbal earthy floral grass. Tastes slightly tart and funky with some peppery spice, lemony citrus, wheat, damp musty hay, vanilla, plantain, green apple, honeydew melon, with herbal earthy floral grass. Feels medium-light bodied, creamy with moderate low carbonation. Overall a nice unique saison.

Batch 503. Born June 2016

A: Pours a cloudy straw yellow cite 2 fingers of head that fades down to a decent cap

S: Lots of wheat influence along with a melon fruitiness and some light peppery notes. Some light citrus in there as well

T: Starts off with the wheat notes and goes into some melon, peppery notes, hay, and a general fruitiness. Finishes with a very light bitterness, pepper, and more fruitiness

M: Light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: A very refreshing and incredibly drinkable summer saison with plenty of depth and flavor for being 4.1%. Wish they sold this in more than a single 12 oz. bottle at a time. Makes it easy to buy plenty, though

In a snifter the beer was a hazy yellow color without much head.
Fruity and spicy aroma. Kind of outdoorsy.
Sweet fruit (cantaloupe), a little peppery.
Easy drinking, a good summertime beer.

4 oz. tasting glass at the brewery, part of a flight. Also had their English bitter, flagship Ishmael and their kickass gose.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy straw/yellow with a puffy white head.

Aroma: Melons, peppers, grass, maybe some hay. Some unidentifiable fruit, too.

Taste: Those melons are right up front. Honeydew, maybe cantaloupe. A little cracked pepper on the finish. Very refreshing and tasty.

Mouthfeel: Light and summery. Well executed.

Overall: Really good saison with distinctive flavors. This series has yet to let me down. Good stuff.
