Pours clear, bright copper (SRM 13-15). The head forms a one inch almond foam that quickly settles and holds one half inch without depositing any lace. Fine random bubbles race about within the Speiglau IIPA glass.
The aroma is dominated by blackberry jam with toasted malt in the background.
The flavor is fairly neutral upon entry. Mild toasted malt and bitterness build with very light black raspberry in the background. The finish is long and fairly astringent.
Alcohol is slightly higher than expected. Light fizziness adds to a rough woolly texture in this medium bodied beer.
This is a decent summer beer. While nothing special, there is nothing offensive here either. For me, it is a one and done.

I usually drink lager, stout or brown beers. When it’s warm I will try a fruit beer, but they often are too sweet. This Berry Naked is fantastic! A great in-between point from a brown and a lager with a bit of a sour black-raspberry kick.

Pours darker than expected. Strong berry aroma. I had low expectations for this one but it was actually pretty good. Heavy and malty for a fruit beer. Went down smooth.

Dark amber color, one-finger head, fruity smell that is also a bit floral, raspberry taste comes through, tart, light mouthfeel, subtle bitter aftertaste. I am glad that I tried it but would not purchase it again.
