12 oz. Can
Poured into a tulip a pretty nice dark brown color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy two-finger tan head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, with some chocolate/toffee, coffee, chilies, slight vanilla, licorice. The taste is malty, chocolate/toffee, vanilla, coffee, chilies, licorice. Full Body, ABV is hidden fairly well, with a dry/bitter finish. Overall, a tasty brew.

12.7oz bottle served in a tulip. I think I bought it late last year or early this year at Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon. If there's a date, I don't see it. The ABV listed on my bottle is 14.4%, not 12% as the BA listing says, so hopefully I have the right beer.
Pours black, thick, almost no head, not much carbonation. Smell is chocolate, roasted coffee, alcohol, bourbon, vanilla, I think I get a hint of peppers.
Taste is right along the same lines -- alcohol is muted and therefore bourbon comes across more as an oaky vanilla flavor than a liquor. I think I get some black licorice out of it now, too.
Mouthfeel is moderately thick, rich, a little grittiness, fairly still. Overall, very nice beer.

Single 12 oz can - think acquired in Rochester, NY.
Pours a moderately thick black with a really nice finger of creamy mocha head.
Aroma of dark chocolate, vague sense of stone fruit, molasses, vanilla - not much of peppers.
Taste follows - dark chocolate, dark fruit, slight citrus, woody vanilla, and at swallow just hints of the pepper heat. Finishes moderately bitter.
Medium full mouthfeel with decent carbonation - a bit of peppery spice fights to get through but is overpowered by a lingering bitterness.
Very good stout that improved as warmed, but not the best of Evil Twin.

Hadn't had anything for a while from Jackie O's (or Evil Twin for that matter), and so thought I would splurge on 12.7 ounce bottle ($18).
The beer pours blackish brown color with fairly decent lacing and head retention. It looks like what what you would expect in a BA 14.4% abv. beer. The nose is the best part of this beer, as I pick up considerable mocha chocolate, vanilla and molasses. Not getting much in the way of orange peel or pasilla chilies, nor any sign of the bourbon barrel this beer was supposedly aged in. There's something of an "other" aroma component to this beer on the nose, but it's difficult to pick our just what it is I'm smelling (would not guess orange peel or chilies per se). The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, though the amount of molasses I'm picking up on the palate is a bit disconcerting. I don't mind a little molasses flavor in my beer, but the flavor component really dominates in this beer. Mouthfeel is fairly full with a fairly long and soft finish. Alcohol is pretty well integrated into the flavor profile, though you can certainly tell that the abv. is up there a bit.
A decent beer for sure, but obviously not worth the price the brewer is asking for it. This is not a beer I'll be ordering again.

A 12.7 oz. bottle poured into a Jackie O's snifter.
Look- An off black with about 1 1/2 fingers of dark brown head. The foam dissipated quickly and there was little lacing.
Smell- Vanilla, chocolate cocoa and some dark fruits. I did get more of the peppers as it warmed.
Taste- A dark chocolate taste with some raisin like flavor mixed with a little vanilla. The peppers were more of an aftertaste about half way through the glass. The middle of the glass seemed like the most flavorful.
Mouthfeel - Medium carbonation and it sits on the tongue.
Overall - Let it warm a little and it is a really solid stout. I got virtually none of the peppers until it warmed. I would never have guessed the high ABV
A pretty good take on the style, but there are better. Almost a poor man's BOMB substitute, almost. ABV is well hidden (bottle says 14.4%).

This was a bit of a disappointment because these are two of my favorite breweries on a collaboration. What could go wrong?
Poured a 12 ounce can into a DFH tulip and it had a prodigious dark tan head over a dark brown body. Smell was of peppery chocolate but fainter than I was expecting. Likewise for the underwhelming taste. Where's the big brash smells and flavors I was expecting? The booze was well hidden which is a plus, I guess. The mouthfeel was fine.
This isn't bad but didn't nearly live up to my high expectations. Up your game in any future collabs, guys.
