650 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 12%. Pitch black colour, moderate brown head. Aroma of roast malts, molasses, fusel alcohols, chocolate, oak and some vinous notes. Very sweet flavour, with the same elements as the aroma, too moderate hops. Warming throatfeel.

Pours pitch black color with a 1 finger thick brown foamy head that faded very slowly and left minimal spotty lacing. Expected the head to drop with very little lacing clinging to the glass, so this was spot on.
Aroma is like a Godiva chocolate cherry, lots of rich dark chocolate and that gooey cherry sweetness smell which in this case is actually the red wine barrel aspects. The nose also had cocoa powder, dark fruits like figs or dates, brown sugar, hot fudge, red wine, more dark chocolate, a hint of peat moss and burnt coffee grinds. Really impressive smell that was very complex and well above what I had anticipated.
Flavor is very much like the aroma with the additions of bitter bakers chocolate, espresso, molasses, chocolate covered raisins, dark rum, earthy notes, charred wood and more chocolate. All of the ET stouts aged in barrels down at Westbrook have a slight metallic taste as well, but that’s a byproduct of the quality roasted malts used in the mash.
This is another delicious Even More Jesus variant that got better as it warmed and masked the ABV masterfully. Mouthfeel was thick and chewy but super smooth at the same time with a perfect level of bitterness. The only knock on this bottle is the price tag at $38, but I was dumb enough to buy it so I can’t really complain. A damn fine stout.

Pours black, slightly oily, with a bit of brown foam. Smells a bit smokey and meaty, some red fruit / tannins and oak. Taste is smokey, somehow. The wine is only hiding in the back, very slightly. Some dark chocolate sweetness. Very tasty, but unexpected.

Got this from the interwebs somewhere. Cheers!
From a bomber into a snifter
Brewed at Westbrook
Aged in Red Wine Barrels
APPEARANCE: Pours our syrupy clear black and yields a two finger, medium looking, fizzy, dark tan head with good retention. Black body with some carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a full, thick, creamy cap, then down to a splotchy, swirly ring and wisp. Ring remains leaving touches of lacing down the glass as it empties. Good looking stout though the head is a bit fizzier than ideal.
SMELL: Lots of red wine on this one. Oak, milk chocolate, vanilla cream, dark fruits with lots of grapes and dates, as well as hints of coffee on the nose. Lots of red wine barrel but stout is still there.
TASTE: Red wine character, with oak, vanilla cream and milk chocolate sweetness, sweet dark fruits and some alcohol at the swallow. Bold and flavorful for sure. Big finish of red wine, port, dark fruity sweetness, milk chocolate and vanilla cream, some bitter coffee flavors, fudge, as well as some booze linger on the palate. Really flavorful.
PALATE: Fuller body and medium carbonation. Thick and plenty of weight, creamy and silky on the palate, goes down smooth and with a decent burn and finishes quite sticky. Some solid heat lingers. Excellent feel.
OVERALL: This is really good. I’m a huge fan of this beer and this rendition is nothing less than stellar. It’s big, black and menacing, with a thick, syrupy feel and lots of stout and red wine character all over the place. This is just the kind of concoction that gets me out of bed in the morning. Heck, I’d probably rise from the dead if this were dangling before my nose. I’d bet that if Jesus were around today, he’d approve, and maybe even come back early for it. His biggest fan Paul would approve as well. That dude Thomas might be skeptical and want to have better evidence besides my anecdotal claims, and I wouldn’t blame him, but I have reasonable confidence that after the first sip, he’d be a believer too. Highly recommended stuff.

A 22 fl. oz. bomber with no bottled on or best before date. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Black in colour with a thin brown head that dissipated fairly quickly, but left some nice spotty lacing.
Aroma: Roasty, ashy, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, dried dark fruit, vinous red wine, and cherry notes.
Taste: Roasty, ashy, burnt sugar, vinous red wine, chocolate, cocoa, caramel, dark fruit, with a lightly bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, creamy, warming, full bodied, with soft carbonation.
Overall: Wow, this is easily my favourite Even More Jesus variant. The sweetness is very nicely balanced with the bitter smoky ash, roast and chocolate. So smooth and a very nice sipper that hides the ABV well.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of huge black cholate notes with light tart and roasted malt notes with some residual sugar and light vinous notes is quite enticing. Taste is also a mix of heavy roasted malt and sweet black chocolate notes with some residual sugar notes, some vinous notes and light oak is quite pleasant. Body is full with oily like texture with good carbonation and some alcohol is apparent. Rich thick and decadent beer but wine barrel aging was not as apparent as I was expecting.

22 oz bomber from Mom and Tony! Thank you!
Thick black with a creamy dark beige head of 1/2 finger.
Aroma of rich tobacco, toffee, Cabernet, honey, floral hops, and oak with slight fudge. Complex.
Flavor opens with honey and sweet candi sugar, followed by floral hops, chocolate drizzle, red wine, dry cocoa, caramel malt, and oak cabinet.
Feel is resinous and full, with nice leathery Cabernet notes. High warming alcohol which soothes the soul, great carbonation.
Overall, a very very tasty stout and I'd have it again. This was a nice surprise.

22oz bottle. No dating information found.
One of the more totally black colored bodies I have seen. Beautiful dark mocha brown head, which stays around as a thick cap. Leaves behind some strings of lacing.
Aroma of dark roasted malts, dark fruits, and a touch of red wine barrels.
Taste is initially red wine wrapped dark roasted malts, which then transitions to chocolate coated cherries, which then emphasizes the coffee component. The aftertaste is chocolate, coffee, and red wine.
Thick mouth feel. Good carbonation.
The red wine twists together with the chocolate dark malts in the long lasting aftertaste. The beer is thick to drink and expresses several aspects but the red wine is consistently there.

look: Looks like a imp stout ought to. Very dark, nearly opaque. Some deep ruby highlights when held to light. Thick dark mocha head that leaves some messy lacing.
smell: Rich, chocolate, coffee fudge. Decadent and smoky.
taste: Rich decadent coffee, dark fruit, and cream with a smoky finish. It's got a richness i associate with BCBS, but with a unique twist via the wine barrels.
