Canned on 12/16/21; consumed on 1/10/22
Pours an opaque, milky pale-straw body capped with three fingers of fluffy, white foam; good head retention yields a rocky finger of cap, an expansive, frothy collar, and myriad thin webs of lacing layered across the walls of the glass.
Aromas of white grape, tangerine, and tinges of lemon cream are lush upfront, contrasting deeper sensory tones of fresh hop vine with mossy undertones over the middle; grapefruit peel and mango pith are borne on the back end as papaya peel lingers.
Taste highlights guava peel, papaya, and sensations of dank white grape at the forefront, with grapefruit and zesty floral notes guiding toward a raw, mossy hop overtone over the mid-palate and lemon peel on the back end.
Mouthfeel brings a body on the lighter side of medium with moderate-full carbonation, fluffy and rounded as silky textures flourish; a floral bittering over the mid-palate nods toward wisps of hop acidity on the back end, sporting a juicy undercurrent lingering through the finish.
Supremely pillowy textures offer a foundational ease from which deeper tropical notes are expressed, despite an overarching, juxtaposing green hop profile persisting simultaneously; a thoroughly appreciable NEIPA, with even higher potential should the rawer hop tones find balance.
