L-Pours a deep ruby amber golden bodied beer with nice bubbly carbonation and a thing lacy head. Nice solid haze on the body.
S-I get immediate mango on the nose, sweet malt and other tropical fruits. Papaya and guava is there for sure. I don't get much of the peppercorn on the nose. There are some slight nods to Belgian abbey ale here too, with some stone fruit, and molasses.
T-Fresh mango, funky backbone, nice candied sweetness. Malty sweetness. Fruity, zingy, and earthy peppercorn is there. Phenolic notes as well. The peppercorn breaks through more as the beer warms. Heavier bodied then expected given that the abv is only 6%.
F-Medium bodied. Drying finish.
O-An interesting take on a saison. I loved the addition of the peppercorn and the malty tropical fruit body.
