Dark brown to amber in color with a quarter inch of creamy brown on top. The aroma is of dark bread. I’m tasting dark bready malt with a kiss of grassy hops. The mouth is smooth
,crisp, and refreshing.

12 oz can, canned on 8/17/20, into Powder Valley glass.
Toasted brown color with 20% transparency, and an off-white khaki head of 2 fingers, leaving lace behind.
Aroma of toasted bread crusts, coffee, sticky caramel, and bright fruit.
Flavor is similar; lots of coffee, some toasted pumpernickel, a bit of caramel, and an undertone of general fruitiness. Moderate bitterness in the form of slight dry grass.
Feel is wet and carbonated, slightly dry, very roasty. Oddly resinous finish.
Overall, a solid Dunkel. Would have again if I were in a bar or something. The 1 overall is for their woke agenda.

Clear brown with biege head. Aroma is nutty and chocolatey, flavor follows, a little more coffee like. Would have thought it a brown rather than a dunkel but it's not bad.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, dark brown color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy sheets of lace on the glass. It smelled of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and toffee. Sweet chocolate, roasted malt and toffee. Mild bitterness with a crisp finish.

12oz can - no date - poured into a classic German pils glass at fridge temp.
Pours a semi-clear mahogany brown colour, topped with a finger of tan head with okay retention. Reddish walnut when held to the light, with some visible bubbles.
Nose: Super toasty malt - maybe more than typical, with some graininess and a pronounced ashy smoke note. A little bit of vague orchard fruitiness, lots of brown bread, a hint of wild date, and just a whisper of lemon.
Palate: The beer greets the palate with a big bold toasty backbone with coarse grains, malty barley, and plenty of roast. It's very nutty, with malted milk, pecan, toffee, caramel, whole wheat bread, toast, a hint of cocoa, some fig, a touch of lemon zest, and some lager yeast brightness. A touch of dry char builds on the back end, pushing everything else but the maltiness out, and the beer finishes with that creamy malted milk ball note, and just a touch of earthy, herbal, slightly spicy hops.
Mouthfeel/Body: The beer itself is medium-light in body, with the typical crisp, bright, and refreshing snap of a lager, with this thread of bold roasty maltiness that adds a touch of weight. The effervescence is very lively, maybe even a touch coarse. There's some minerality at play, which is nice, but there's also this quite harsh feeling that I only associate with hop burn. No idea why it's here, but it's highly unpleasant.
Overall: While perhaps a bit on the toasty side for a classic dunkel lager, and adopting some schwarzbier traits, it's quite flavorful and enjoyable - taste wise. The charry note is unique and interesting, and the maltiness is fantastic. The one drawback is that "hop burn" sting in the roof of my mouth and back of the throat. A bad batch? I'm not sure. Without that, it's a fantastic beer. With that, it's a very good beer with one big flaw.

Aroma is malts/grains and really strong whole grain bread. The flavor is fruit/mild dark fruit/raisins, malts/grains and a slightly sweet/tart/big whole grain bread finish.
