16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden yellow color with a small, white head of bubbly foam. It left sudsy lacing on the glass. It smelled of bubblegum, funkiness, caramel and toffee. Great funky taste with bubblegum caramel and some spices.

Haven't posted up at 2nd Shift in a while now so was excited to get a few new brewskies in me, and thankfully this 9.5% saison caught my wifes eye and I get to tag along! these things are usually like 6% right?
12oz pour, came out like a nice hazy ipa would with a nice golden yellow that only let through some light, with a decent foamy cap atop which stayed afloat but left no lacing or any of the fun stuff.
aroma immediately came with the funk, with a nice herbacous note leading off everything. fresh cut lemon rind, a bit of grapefruit and a strong black pepper note all follow behind and balance things out just a smidge.
flavor profile hits most of the same notes. right away it's got that 'didn't peel this grapefruit quite right' kinda bitterness, and a lotta yeast-y notes joining in after a moment on the tongue. there's a bit of grassiness/floralness that joins the mix that probably builds up more, but i couldn't steal thaatttt much of her drink so you know. zero maltiness or sweetness comes in to help balance all of this but that seems to be okay.
it was surprisingly light bodied for its nearly 10%, still had quite the weight to it but still refreshing enough. bone dry and leaves a lingering bitterness and citrus that was really nice. solid beer!
